Marybeth Burns - mburns@mmisd.us Pre-Kindergarten I was born and raised in Brownwood, Texas. I graduated high school in 1997 and began my first year of college at Angelo State. After one year, I transferred to Tarleton State. I graduated Tarleton State and received my first teaching job at Morgan Mill. I taught first grade for 13 years before moving to Pre-K. I have been married to Jay Burns since 2004. In 2006 we welcomed a daughter into our family, Harley Grace. In 2009 we welcomed a son, Ely. We live in Morgan Mill. Annette Storrs - astorrs@mmisd.us Kindergarten My husband and I have lived in Stephenville for more than 20 years and have raised 4 wonderful kids. After years of chasing kids and (loving) watching them play sports, we are now empty nesters! I love reading, cooking, and visiting with family and friends. I graduated from Tarleton in 2011, and have taught 1st and 2nd grades, and now kindergarten. Teaching makes my heart so happy! I’m so blessed to be part of Morgan Mill ISD! Kourtney Redstrom - kredstrom@mmisd.us 1st grade, GT Coordinator, Cheer/Drill Team SponsorI was raised in Hamilton, the Dove Capital of Texas. I grew up in a rodeo and ranching family. I have a love for all sports, which led me to Tarleton State University where I was a member of an All Girl Cheering Squad. Go Texans!! I received my bachelors degree from Tarleton in Early Childhood Education; while I was completing my degree I was a student teacher at Morgan Mill. During my student teaching semester I felt right at home in this wonderful school and community, and I was lucky enough to get hired on as the fourth grade teacher. As I enter my second year I am moving down to first grade and couldn’t be more excited! Tracey Haggard - thaggard@mmisd.us 2nd Grade I was born and raised in Santo, and knew from a very young age I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated from Tarleton in 2006 and started teaching 3rd grade in Weatherford. I decided to go back to school for a master's degree in library science and was a librarian in Aledo for 4 years. I have been married to my husband since 2005. We have 3 children who keep us very busy and 3 dogs. My family recently moved back to Stephenville, and I am so excited to begin my 15th year in education teaching here in Morgan Mill!! Haylee Turley - hturley@mmisd.us 3rd Grade and ESL Coordinator My name is Haylee Turley. I am 29 years old, and I am originally from Nevada. I came to Texas on a rodeo scholarship. After graduating from Tarleton State University, I was hired on at Morgan Mill Elementary. I have taught third grade for 6 years and am looking forward to many more. I have one son named Jhett. He loves to play sports, so I spend most of my extra time watching him at games or helping him practice. Christina Baker - cbaker@mmisd.us 4th grade I grew up in Meridian, Texas. After graduating, I moved to Stephenville to attend Tarleton State University. In 2016, I received my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Along the way, I met my husband, Dillon, collected several pets, and we moved to Morgan Mill. This year will be my fourth year teaching, but my first in fourth grade. I’m very excited to be joining the Morgan Mill family and am looking forward to a great year. Taylor Stricklin - tstricklin@mmisd.us 5th Grade I started school here at Morgan Mill ISD and came for several years before my family moved. It is wonderful to be back at such an amazing school and to see it grow so much from when I came here as a child. I graduated from Tarleton with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, but went on to get my teacher certification. As a teacher, I love to see the moment when a student understands a concept and it all just clicks with them and their face lights up with happiness and pride. I live in Stephenville with Ian, my high-school sweetheart, our two children Dexter and Cora, and our two dogs. Jayden Reynolds -jreynolds@mmisd.us 6-8th Grade Math I was born and raised in Glen Rose, TX, where I graduated high school in 2015. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University in 2018. During my time at Tarleton, my main concentration was learning middle school math instruction. I also hold a certification in English as a Second Language. As I enter my first year of teaching, I am excited for the opportunity to guide the students of Morgan Mill ISD into a better understanding of math concepts. My goal this year is for students to learn as much as they can about math, while also erasing any negative feelings or misconceptions about the subject. I will also be coaching all boy’s athletic teams. I am looking forward to an amazing school year! Go Mustangs! Nancy Lingle-Bassham - nbassham@mmisd.us 5-8th Grade Science, Library, Cheer/Drill Team Sponsor This is my 15th year at Morgan Mill, my 23rd year of teaching and I’ve lived in Morgan Mill for over 25 years. I’ve taught from K to 8th grade, music, social studies, math and science. This year I’ll be the 7th grade home room teacher, working in the library and teaching 5th-8th Science, plus doing some fun STEAM activities with 6th & 7th grades. This will be my last year as Cheer/Drill Team sponsor with Ms. Redstrom. On a personal note, my name changed from Lingle to Bassham! I married Rick Bassham from Mineral Wells on May 27 and spent 10 days honeymooning in Alaska. Rachel Jones- rjones@mmisd.us 6-8th Grade Reading/ELA, Special Education, Art I have lived in Morgan Mill for twenty years now, so I call Morgan Mill home. My parents live in Gainesville, Texas, which is where I spend my time when I am not here. I received my Interdisciplinary Studies degree at Tarleton State University and have added teaching certifications to my portfolio as the years have passed. My son, David, is a student at Texas A&M working to complete a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries and plans on serving in the military once he graduates. I am blessed to be able to work at such an exceptional school and teach kids that make my job enjoyable on a daily basis. Jean Crawford - jcrawford@mmisd.us 7th & 8th grade History I grew up in Erath County in Dublin Texas, I went to Tarleton State University and received my Bachelors Degree in Education. I moved to east Texas to teach and met my husband. I have taught everything from 1st Grade to High School with Language Arts being the majority. I received my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Tyler. I have taught all over Texas to follow my husband in the oil and gas industry. My jobs have included teacher, Assistant Principal, 504 Coordinator, and Dyslexia Specialist. I have enjoyed all of my experience and continue to enjoy my time in education. I retired in 2016 and returned back to Erath County after my husband passed away. For the last 3 years I have substituted at the local small schools in the area. I am excited about teaching History this year at Morgan Mill. My two children have followed me here to the area and each have blessed me with a grandchild. Kellen Cervetto - kcervetto@mmisd.us Girls' & Boys' Coach, PE My wife, Stephanie and I have lived in the area for 10 years now moving from San Antonio. We both were born and raised here and we wanted to come back and raise our children here. This is my 1st year at Morgan Mill and my 11th year overall. We are very blessed to apart of the MM family and community. Nan Goodman - ngoodman@mmisd.us Elementary Music, Distance Learning I grew up in Venus, Texas and graduated from Venus High School. I attended Tarleton State University. I am married to Grant Goodman and we have three children, Claire, Caden, and Chloe. I also have one granddaughter named Jane and a son-in-law, Brandon. I will be teaching music in Morgan Mill and am so blessed to be able to get to know all the kids in the district and all my fellow teachers, staff, administrators and members of the community. I have taught in Stephenville, Whitewright, and Howe ISDs. I consider it a privilege to be a Mustang and am looking forward to the 2019-2020 school year! |
